NEW YORK, July 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 jolted 162 km SSE of L'Esperance Rock, New Zealand, at 17:52:21 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 32.8251 degrees south latitude and 178.3713 degrees west longitude.
