NEW YORK, March 31 (Xinhua) -- A 5.4-magnitude quake jolted 129 km SW of Chimbote, Peru at 1527 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 20.8 km, was initially determined to be at 9.9758 degrees south latitude and 79.3372 degrees west longitude.
