MUMBAI, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets closed higher Friday.

Among sectors, banks, automobiles, energy, infra, metals and pharmaceuticals were in the green, while technology names were trading in the red.

The benchmark S&P, BSE Sensex closed at 35,011.65, up 579.68 points, or 1.68 percent, compared to its previous close at 34,431.97.
