TEHRAN, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Iranian companies will participate in Rebuild Syria Exhibition in October, an official of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) said on Sunday.

TPO is ready for facilitating participation of Iranian companies in Rebuild Syria project that includes reconstruction of economic and industrial infrastructure of the war-stricken country, Farzad Piltan, the director general of TPO was quoted as saying by Tehran Times.

"Iranian companies' presence in the exhibition is a chance for showing Iran's capabilities in various sectors such as industry as well as technical and engineering services," Piltan added.

The exhibition is set to be held from Oct. 2 to 6 in Syria's capital Damascus.

Iran's exports to Syria have increased during recent years, Piltan said, including chemicals, pharmaceutical supplements as well as construction and industrial materials.
