BEIJING, March 8 (Xinhua) -- China and the EU need to accelerate negotiations to conclude a bilateral investment protection agreement, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said here Thursday.

"Global governance has emerged as a new dimension of China-EU cooperation. The two sides have a shared responsibility to safeguard global free trade system," Wang told a press conference on the sidelines of the country's annual legislative session.
