COLOMBO, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka will receive five fuel shipments in April, a senior Ceylon Petroleum Corporation official told reporters on Thursday.

Mayura Neththikumarage, managing director of the corporation, said suppliers confirmed the orders on Wednesday.

Sri Lanka introduced a fuel quota system last Sunday to avoid shortages amid disruptions to fuel supplies from the Middle East. ■
